Tour Cancellation/Interruption Protection: Itineraries are subject to change: The United Kingdom and Europe is full of surprises, and we need to be flexible enough to take advantage of whatever comes along so that we may provide you with the best possible tour. Uncompleted portions of the tour itinerary are not cause for refund. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving early. Prices are quoted as a package, and no partial refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, or other tour arrangements for any reason.
Tour payments: To reserve a seat on the TCT to the United Kingdom you must agree to these Tour Conditions and provide a deposit of $1000 per person. MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted for all tour payments via PayPal. Personal Checks are also accepted from a US bank account (or a bank draft/money order drawn on a US or Canadian bank) made payable to “Cider Chat“ in US dollars. Your final tour payment is due February 21, 2025 . Missing the final payment deadline may result in you being removed from the tour! If you sign up for a tour less than 90 days before its departure, the entire tour price must be paid, and the deposit portion is nonrefundable after 7 days. (Tour deposit refunds are discussed below.)
Solo travelers and single supplements: Please note that a single supplement guarantees a private room – not a larger or nicer room, as European single-bed rooms are generally the smallest and most basic rooms the hotel has to offer!
Returned payments: If a payment to TCT is returned unpaid for any reason, you will be assessed a $50 returned-item fee per occurrence. The fee(s) will be added to the applicable tour balance, and must be paid in full prior to your tour departure.
Cancellations and refunds: Tour deposits are fully refundable up to 120 days before the tour’s start date of April 27, 2026. This means deposits are refundable through December 28, 2025. Refunds for cancellations will be issued, deducting any applicable credit card processing fees incurred by Cider Chat LLC, along with a $50 service fee per reservation (per person). These deductions cover transaction and administrative costs and will be subtracted from the refunded amount.
Deposits made between 121 and 150 days before the tour’s departure, specifically from November 29, 2025 to December 28, 2025, remain refundable until the 120-day mark (December 28, 2025). After that date, these deposits become non-refundable.
For bookings made within 120 days of the tour’s departure (from December 29, 2025 through April 27, 2026), the entire tour cost becomes non-refundable 7 days after the booking date. After the individual 7-day grace period has passed, any deposit made within this timeframe becomes non-refundable and will be forfeited upon cancellation.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@ciderchat.com. The date received by TCT determines the effective date of cancellations.
Tour Cancellation/Interruption Protection: It is highly recommended that you secure tour trip cancellation/interruption protection. Inform your health insurance, banks and credit card companies that you will be traveling. Make sure that you bring all required documents with you for emergencies and leave a copy of said documents at home with a primary emergency contact person.
Tour forms, obligations, and risks: Participation: To travel on a tour, all tour members are required to review and accept a Health and Safety Pledge prior to the beginning of a tour. Omitting important information, or altering any of these agreements, will render it invalid, and could result in expulsion from a tour at your own expense.
Although we want everyone to have a good time, it sometimes happens that someone participating in a tour can misbehave or do things that are incompatible with the safety, comfort, or convenience of other members of the tour:(1) is dangerous to others or to himself/herself; (2) has engaged in, is engaged in, or is threatening to engage in, behavior that may adversely affect the safety, security, comfort, enjoyment, or well-being of other participants or TCT representatives, including, but not limited to, behavior that is disruptive, verbally abusive, physically abusive, obnoxious, harassing, discriminatory, or obscene; or (3) has failed or refused, or is failing or refusing, to follow TCT’s rules and procedures or the instructions of TCT or its representatives. In the event a participant is removed, such participant may be left at any city without any liability to TCT or its representatives. TCT shall not be required to refund any portion of the price paid by any participant who is removed, nor shall TCT be responsible for expenses for lodging, medical care, meals, transportation, or any other expenses incurred by the participant. TCT shall be entitled to recover from the participant any costs or expenses incurred by TCT or its representatives as a result of the participant’s actions and removal. In those circumstances we have the exclusive right and discretion to expel someone (even you) from a tour at any time.
In the event that a participant voluntarily chooses to leave a tour, TCT may require a written statement of the participant’s intent to depart from the tour. TCT will not refund any monies to a voluntarily departing participant. Transportation costs, airline penalties, and any other expenses will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
Only registered TCT guests will be allowed to join us while we are on a tour during: cider producer visits; guided walking tours; motor coach transfers; scheduled meals; and/or any other group event on the itinerary.
Tour member expectations: Totally Cider Tours are physically active, our hotels are centrally located but may provide fewer American-style amenities, and our people policy emphasizes NO GRUMPS! These are essential characteristics of the Totally Cider Tours (TCT) experience. On any TCT you assume certain obligations and responsibilities to TCT and your fellow tour members, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Carry or roll your own luggage for up to 15 minutes over uneven pavement from the bus to the hotel.
- Be comfortable on your feet with two-hour tasting tours, climbing of stairs, hopping on and off public transportation, plus standing and walking for up to 2 hours inside museums and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Sleep with no (or inadequate) air conditioning and street noise in some hotels.
- After orientation and transportation lessons, be able to navigate towns and cities on your own.
- Traveling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be careful to maintain high health and safety standards. Tour members agree to follow all safety precautions and health directives set by your guides, by TCT or by local officials. Examples may include maintaining proper social distancing, the use of face masks (covering your nose and mouth), regular temperature checks, proper hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, quarantining if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or other contagious illness, and/or being seen by a health professional as a condition of continuing on with the tour. The possible precautions and directives required are not limited to the examples included here.
Our tour guides cannot provide assistance for any of these activities! Tour members requiring help must be accompanied by an able companion who can be entirely responsible for providing the assistance. (If you have concerns about the physical demands of our tours, please call!)
Pack light: Each tour member is allowed to bring one airline carry-on-size piece of luggage (approximately 21″ x 14″ x 9″) plus a small day pack or shoulder bag. Bringing home Cider and Perry is a perfect souvenir. Airline baggage fees or breakage incurred, are your responsibility and not TCT.
You will be informed about the option of bringing an extra suitcase in your Pre-Tour Planner – which will included tips for packing light and creatively. This means, bringing an extra piece of luggage to bring cider home. Extra airline fees may apply and you are solely responsible for that cost.
Cancellation by TCT: It may occasionally be necessary for TCT to cancel a tour. TCT reserves the right to cancel a tour due to insufficient enrollment or for any other cause. If a tour is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified at least 30 days in advance of the scheduled tour start date. In this case, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to date. TCT cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other travel arrangements not made through TCT. Refund of payments made constitutes full settlement and releases TCT from any further liability.
If a tour is canceled due to natural disaster, strike, or other event outside our control, TCT shall not be held responsible; however, participants may elect to submit claims for reimbursement under any applicable insurance that participant may have.
Applicable Law: Any disputes concerning or relating to this contract, any other literature concerning your tour, or the tour itself, shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any claims or disputes against TCT must be brought in the Federal or State Courts located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Hampshire County, to the exclusion of the Courts of any other state and country.
Terms of Use for Audio, Photographs and Video for Promotional Materials: TCT reserves the right to take photographs or make video records of any of its tours and to use any such photographs or videos for promotional and/or commercial purposes, as well as for use by third parties with whom TCT may engage in joint marketing, without financial remuneration to participant. Participant assigns all right, title, and interest he/she may have in any and all media in which his/her name or likeness might be used to TCT.
