Join the cider tour! We will be filling our cups with the likes of cider from Somerset, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Wales!
Somerset is famed for its bittersweet apple varieties, used to craft robust ciders, while Gloucestershire showcases a heritage of orchard preservation such as the National Perry Pear Centre.
Herefordshire boasts a mix of traditional farmhouse ciders and modern innovations with well-known makers like Tom Oliver James Forbes and Albert Johnson and the Yew Tree Pub!
And in Wales, the people there are Welsh!
All these regions produce cider, perry, and specialty offerings like keeved cider.

Cider Tour Overview
27th April – Arrive and Stay in Bristol
This first night is on your own, and with cider bars such as The Orchard Inn, The Apple Boat and the Cider Box – there will be plenty of cider to whet your appetite for the week to come.
Fly into the Bristol Airport and take a taxi or public bus into town or take a bus from London’s Heathrow airport! The Bristol Bus Station is within walking distance of our hotel. ✔️
28th April – Hello Somerset!
- Branch Ciderl – We start our Somerset tour at Far Orchard right in Bristol with Ed Gibson, who is also the owner of The Apple Boat and the founder of Austin Eastciders of Texas.

- Gwatkins Cider Mill – Cider Tour and Dinner at the on site Red Cow Restaurant
3rd May – Ruins and Sunday Roast with Cider
Let’s skip storming the castle and just enjoy our ciders on the beautiful grounds of this Welsh landmark Usk Castle. Then a classic Sunday Roast dinner before returning to Bristol.
