The conversation surrounding CiderCon 2027 continues.
Following eCiderNews coverage of the American Cider Association’s announcement that CiderCon 2027 will be co-located with the Craft Brewers Conference in San Antonio, Texas, ACA leadership has agreed to participate in an interview to discuss the decision and answer questions emerging from the cider community.
eCiderNews is scheduled to speak with ACA Board President Christine Walter on Friday.
The announcement has generated significant discussion, with reactions ranging from enthusiasm about expanded networking and educational opportunities to concerns about cider’s identity, visibility, and long-term direction within a larger brewing industry event.
Among the questions being raised:
• Why was the Brewers Association chosen as a partner?
• Were wine or spirits industry partnerships considered?
• How will cider-specific programming remain visible and distinct?
• What opportunities does the partnership create for cider producers?
• How will success be measured?
eCiderNews welcomes additional questions from readers, cidermakers, orchardists, retailers, and industry professionals.
Questions may be submitted by contacting news@ciderchat.com.
The interview will be conducted on Friday, with coverage to follow on eCiderNews.
As always, our goal is to help readers understand not only what is changing, but what those changes mean for Ciderville.
