Here’s a wee bit of news from out and about in Ciderville.
As summer approaches, Food & Wine has published an article titled “Move Over Rosé: Why Cider Deserves a Spot in Your Summer Cooler.” The piece makes a compelling case for cider as a warm-weather beverage and features comments from cider educator Adrian Luna-Verduga, better known throughout Ciderville as The Hard Cider Guy.

For many of us, this isn’t exactly breaking news. We’ve been pairing cider with summer picnics, grilled foods, beach days, and backyard gatherings for years. But every time a major national publication shines a spotlight on cider, the category gains visibility with consumers who may not yet know how diverse and food-friendly cider can be.
What makes this story particularly fun is that Adrian is also this week’s featured guest on Cider Chat Episode 505: Cider Senseis Discipline, Craft and the Cost. In our conversation, we discuss the discipline required to build a cider identity, create meaningful content, and help more people discover what makes cider special.
A tip of the glass to Adrian for helping carry the cider message beyond our own circles.
And if you haven’t yet listened to Episode 505, this here article is a nice reminder that cider’s story is still being written. One conversation, one tasting, and one new cider drinker at a time.
Hip hip hooray for that.
